Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: April 1, 2025
Produced by Spacelift, Inc., IACconf is a free virtual conference open to everyone in the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure automation community.
The event will take place on May 15, 2025.
These are the terms and conditions (the “Agreement”) governing your participation in the IaCconf virtual event (“Event”).
By registering for IACconf, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Event and Registration

- General Conditions. The Event is open to all members of the community who agree to follow this Agreement, including the Code of Conduct, and complete the registration. The Event is conducted online and free of charge. Attendees must be at least 18 years of age to attend the Event. Attendees must provide accurate, up-to-date information when completing the registration.
- Participation Eligibility and Restrictions. Spacelift reserves the right to deny, limit, or cancel the registration or entry to any individual or entity for any reason, in Spacelift’s sole discretion, including, but not limited to, a violation of the Code of Conduct described in Section 3 of this Agreement, and past or present failure to meet Spacelift’s standard of business conduct, or engaging in violent, illegal, threatening or discriminatory conduct.
- Event Changes. You acknowledge and agree that Spacelift reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify any aspect of the Event at any time. This includes, but is not limited to, changes to the Event name, themes, agenda, content, speakers, performers, hosts, moderators, schedule, venue (including digital platforms), or format.
- Access. To participate in the Event, you are responsible for ensuring you have a stable, high-speed internet connection. Spacelift shall not be responsible for any additional expenses that may be incurred in connection with such access. Accessing the Event via mobile networks, personal hotspots, or while roaming may incur data charges from your service provider. Spacelift is not responsible for any such charges or access issues resulting from inadequate connectivity.
- Swag. At Spacelift’s discretion, participants may be eligible to receive swag or promotional items. Distribution is subject to availability, geographic limitations, and registration details.
- Speaker Content and Opinions

- Event Content Disclaimer. The Event is intended solely for informational, networking, and entertainment purposes. It does not constitute professional, legal, technical, or business advice and should not be relied upon as such. Spacelift makes no representations or endorsements regarding any individual, organization, or ideas presented during the Event.
- No Endorsement or Liability. Spacelift expressly disclaims all liability arising from the use, interpretation, or implementation of any content, discussion, or materials shared by attendees, speakers, guests, or other participants. Participation in the Event is voluntary and at your own discretion.
- Participant Views and Responsibility. All views and opinions expressed by Event participants (including attendees, speakers, partners, and guests) are their own and do not necessarily reflect those of Spacelift. Each participant is solely responsible for the content of their presentations, marketing materials, advertisements, and any related online or offline communications.
- Code of Conduct

- General. Spacelift is dedicated to creating a respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free environment at the Event. We welcome all participants (attendees, speakers, partners, and guests) regardless of background or identity. Harassment or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated in any part of the Event. These guidelines outline expected behavior and the consequences of misconduct.
- Expected Conduct. All participants are expected to act with kindness, empathy, respect, and professionalism. Participants should contribute to a safe and supportive atmosphere by being courteous, thoughtful, and helpful to others. These guidelines apply throughout the entire Event and to all related activities.
- Prohibited Conduct. Unacceptable behavior includes but is not limited to intimidation, harassment, abuse, discrimination, derogatory remarks, and disrespectful or unethical actions. Offensive or inappropriate comments or jokes based on personal characteristics (such as gender, race, disability, religion, etc.) are not permitted. Participants must refrain from displaying or sharing violent, illegal, or sexually explicit imagery, messages, clothing, or other materials that may create a hostile or unsafe environment. Anyone asked to stop any inappropriate behavior is expected to comply immediately.
- Consequences of Misconduct. Should a participant violate these guidelines, Spacelift reserves the right to take any action it deems necessary, including issuing warnings, removing the participant from the Event, or implementing other appropriate measures to ensure the safety and integrity of the Event.
- Reporting Violations. If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, or if you have any related concerns, please notify a member of the Spacelift team immediately. You may report incidents via email at legal@spacelift.io or by speaking directly with an Event staff member.
- Recording and Use of Media

- Participant Restrictions. Participants are not permitted to record, broadcast, or distribute audio, video, or chat content from any part of the Event without prior written consent from Spacelift.
- Spacelift Recordings. You acknowledge that certain portions of the Event (including keynote sessions, panel discussions, or presentations) may be recorded by Spacelift. These recordings may be used for promotional purposes, on-demand replay, educational use (internal or community-based), and documentation. While it is unlikely that attendees who are not speakers will be individually recorded or featured, you understand that incidental capture (e.g., in group video sessions, chats, or Q&A segments) may occur.
- Consent to Recording and Use. By registering for and participating in the Event, you consent to being recorded and grant Spacelift and its affiliates the perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, edit, reproduce, display, distribute, and otherwise utilize your likeness, name, voice, avatar, username, and any verbal or written contributions made during the Event. This consent applies to all current and future media formats, including but not limited to internet, social media, print, video, and broadcast channels.
- No Compensation or Approval Required. You acknowledge that you will not receive any compensation for the use of such media and waive any rights to inspect or approve any materials where your image, voice, or likeness may appear. You also waive the right to bring any legal claims against Spacelift or its partners relating to the use of these materials.
- Opting Out. If you do not wish to be recorded, you may choose not to participate in sessions that are being recorded or leave the Event platform during such sessions. Your continued participation in recorded sessions constitutes your acceptance of these terms.
- Intellectual Property

- Ownership of Content. All content presented or shared during the Event remains the intellectual property of the respective speakers, their organizations, or Spacelift, unless explicitly stated otherwise. This includes presentations, materials, visuals, recordings, and other content made available before, during, or after the Event.
- Use and Restrictions. No content from the Event may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, distributed, or otherwise shared (whether in part or in full) without the express written permission of the rightful content owner. This includes all Event-related materials, session recordings, and shared resources.
- Trademarks and Branding. All trademarks, logos, and brand elements used or displayed during the Event are the property of Spacelift, its affiliates, guests, or speakers. You may not use, reproduce, or reference any such marks or branding without prior written approval from the respective rights holder.
- No License Granted. Participation in the Event does not grant you any license, right, or ownership interest in any intellectual property belonging to Spacelift, its affiliates, speakers, or partners. All such rights remain the sole and exclusive property of their respective owners.
- Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

- No Warranties. The Event and all related materials are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. Spacelift makes no guarantees or warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the Event, including but not limited to accuracy, timeliness, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
- Speaker and Participant Content. Views and opinions expressed by speakers, attendees, or guests during the Event are their own and do not reflect those of Spacelift. Spacelift does not guarantee the accuracy, validity, or reliability of any information shared by third parties and disclaims all liability related to the use, implementation, or impact of such content.
- Event Disruptions and Technical Issues. Spacelift is not liable for technical issues beyond its control, including attendee-side connectivity problems, software malfunctions, platform outages, or loss of data or content. Spacelift does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free access to the Event.
- Force Majeure. If Spacelift is unable to deliver the Event due to circumstances beyond its control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, war, terrorism, government restrictions, or failures of technology platforms (collectively, “Force Majeure”), Spacelift reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the Event without liability.
- Limitation of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Spacelift and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, business, contracts, data, goodwill, or anticipated savings, arising from or related to participation in the Event.
- Aggregate Liability Cap. Except where prohibited by law, Spacelift’s total cumulative liability for any claims arising out of or related to the Event, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall not exceed $100 or the minimum amount permitted by applicable law, whichever is greater.
- Non-Excludable Liability. Nothing in these Agreement seeks to limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited under applicable law.

- Miscellaneous

- Entire Agreement. This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy, represents the entire agreement between you and Spacelift concerning participation in the Event. It supersedes all prior oral or written agreements or understandings related to the same subject matter.
- No Reliance. By accepting this Agreement, you confirm that you have not relied on any statements or representations not expressly set out herein. You agree that you will not have any remedy in respect of any misrepresentation not included in this Agreement, except for claims related to fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Severability. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent. If modification is not possible, the unenforceable provision will be deemed severed and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
- No Legal Relationship. Nothing in this Agreement creates or implies any partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between you and Spacelift. You do not have any authority to bind or act on behalf of Spacelift in any capacity.
- Amendments. Spacelift reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. The updated Agreement will be published on the official Event website.
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
